Snow Resort

<Route B : Northeast KANSAI = HOKURIKU>


SHIGA is located in the east of KYOTO and is well known with the largest lake “Biwako” in Japan. Old days this region was called “Omi”, and in the Middle Ages it was often become a stage of war due to its geographical importance as hub which connects east-west and Hokuriku region.

FUKUI is a natural rich region located in the north of KYOTO and SHIGA, and it has  the port of good quality in Wakasa Bay. In the Middle Ages it had become window of trade with the continent, also after 17th century it became an important port of call of the Sea of Japan route.

TOYAMA is the region where you can enjoy a virgin landscape and great nature of Japan.
The North faces the Sea of Japan, the Japan Alps towering in the south.
The mountainous region has Gokayama registered as the World Heritage site. 
There is also the only area where glaciers existing in Japan.

During the 17-19 century KANAZAWA prospered as a castle town of Kaga clan with the largest rice crop among feudal lords, the population size was the fourth largest after Edo(Tokyo), Osaka and Kyoto. It has attracted a lot of people that the many traditional crafts and one of Japan's three major gardens “Kenrokuen”, completed by the culture of Samurai and the common people.

SHIRAKAWA village in Gifu Prefecture, which is located in the south of TOYAMA , has been registered as a World Heritage Site along with the Gokayama in Toyama Prefecture in 1995.

<Route C : South KANSAI>


NARA had been the capital of Japan for 80years in the 8th century before Kyoto became the capital. The old town is said to have been made by imitating the Changan in China.
Medieval streets and the Buddhist temple has attracted a lot of visitors. The name of the Japanese race, "Yamato" is the name of this district.

WAKAYAMA is located in the south of Osaka. This region has a plenty of nature as sea, river, waterfall, rocks, mountains that joined with the faith and has created holy places, such as Koyasan and Kumano in the Middle Age. You will be not only impressed to see the great nature but also filled with solemn feeling when you walk on the approach to the temples and shrines.

<Route E : CHUGOKU = West Honshu>


OKAYAMA, located in west of HIMEJI, is semiarid through a year and it is said that "Sunny Okayama".
Using mild climate, cultivation of rice, Muscat and peach is popular and the coastal fishing is also popular in the Inland Sea of Seto.

HIROSHIMA, located in west of OKAYAMA, possesses the World's Heritage Sites, Hiroshima Peace Memorial and Itsukushima-jinja.

YAMAGUCHI,located in the westernmost tip in Honshu, is next toKyushu across the Kanmon Strait of only 600M.
After national isolation of 300 years, young people who learned at a private school of only 20 M2 in Hagi-city, laid the basis for the modernization of Japan. (A classroom was registered with the World's Heritage Site in 2015.)

SHIMANAMI Expressway is a scenic toll road of 46.6 km which consists of 7 big bridges to several islands between Honshu and Shikoku, and bicycle road also runs alongside.
It obtains one star from Michelin.

EHIME has a lot of fascination such as citrus production utilizing a mild weather, farming of sea bream utilizing beautiful sea, Dogo onsen, which has 3,000-year history, is said that the oldest onsen in Japan, and Imabari high quality towel used at the 5 stars hotel in the world.

KAGAWA might be said to hometown of Udon (wheat - flour noodle) and Bonsai. As Kagawa calls itself  ‘Udon Prefecture’, its consumption is very high, and actually resident who doesn’t eat Udon even once a week, is only one among 10 people.
Japan's Bonsai is well known to the world, but it is not well known that its 80% is brought up in Kagawa.
